Hi friends,
After 14 years in IUSD (12 of them at Northwood High School), I’ve accepted a new position as a theatre teacher at Grant Union High School in Sacramento. It’s a school with a rich history, deep need, and incredible potential. I’ll be working to rebuild a theatre program from the ground up - something I feel deeply called to do.
This opportunity came together very quickly, just within the past two weeks, and while I’m incredibly excited, it’s made the logistics of relocating more intense than I anticipated. Some kind folks have asked how they can help or what they might give as a going-away gesture. In lieu of gifts, I’m humbly sharing this: a small fundraiser to help me land on my feet as I begin this new chapter.
Between the cost of the U-Haul, gas, apartment deposits, first month’s rent, and basic setup expenses, I’ve found myself in a tight spot until my first paycheck arrives at the end of August. If you’re in a position to support, even a little, it would mean the world. And if you can’t give, your encouragement and sharing this link is more than enough.
This transition is about more than me; it’s about showing up for students who deserve access to the kind of transformative arts education that changed my life. Thank you for being part of my journey and for helping me begin this next chapter with hope and heart.
With love and gratitude,
Danyelle Bossardet
