Moving expenses and apartment renting

Hi, my name is Shae. I am currently in the middle of the nastiest divorce I've ever heard of. Last April (2022) my soon to be Ex-husband, who was the sole breadwinner in our family, absconded with my children to California without my knowledge or consent. I tried to go in July to pick up my kids after I learned he had no intentions of coming home, and he wouldn't even allow my children to come out of the house to see me. He then proceeded to keep my children from me (not allowing phone calls, or virtual time with them) until October. The courts have allowed my children to stay in California because of the status quo of him having them there for so long (another problem was that he purposefully postponed court until my children had lived there for 6 months.)

We had mediation today and it was determined that my soon to be ex has absolutely no intentions of moving back to Utah (Utah is both of our home states and where our children were born). Because of this fact I agreed to move to California to have my children 50/50 time. They desperately need their mother just as much or more than their mother needs them. Thus this gofundme. All of the funds donated here will go towards my moving fees and trying to get on my feet in California (finding a new job, finding an apartment that will be big enough to house me and my children, etc.) If anyone would like to send me money via Venmo instead I can provide you with my Venmo.
