Hi, I'm fundraising for a friend, Valencia, and her family to help them move away from a violent living situation. Early Sunday morning, 11 gunshots were fired directly into the walls and windows of Valencia's home. Very thankfully, no one was physically hurt. However, due to the nature of the crime, police recommended that Valencia and her family stop staying in the home and move immediately. Valencia and her family are currently staying in a short-term rental while they arrange for a new place to live and a move. Valencia is an amazing colleague and provides incredible support as a Payroll and IT Director for a non-profit employer. She is also the primary source of income for her family and extended family members, making this sudden and unexpected, violent event both emotionally and financially challenging. Your donations will help Valencia cover the unexpected costs for short-term housing, a security deposit for long-term housing, and costs of moving. Most importantly, this move will help restore some sense of safety and security for Valencia and her family.
