My name is Ted Mills. I live in Santa Cruz, California. I helped Stuart and organized a prior fundraiser for Cancer, a rousing success with remission. His current situation is again dire. Below, I invite you to read Stuart’s sweeping reflection on his life and decades-long career in the arts and movies.
Stuart’s hope (and mine) is that his story might reach a wider circle beyond friends and acquaintances and inspire support from those who have unknowingly been touched by his work. Any contribution — no matter how small — brings us closer to helping him resume a vibrant, creative life. And if you’re unable to give, please consider sharing his story. That is the true power of networking — a reminder that even the smallest acts of generosity and connection can ripple outward and change a life.
All donations will be held securely until the full goal is met. Should the goal not be reached — or in the unfortunate event of Stuart’s passing — donations will be promptly refunded. I’m also working on the best way to provide regular updates, including transparent reporting as donations accumulate.
