We need your help in making a new home for The MAC!
It has been a priority for us since our foundation to have a home for The Collective – a place that belongs wholly to our organization, that is ours to do with as we please, that serves as a permanent asset both financially and practically. We hoped that our current location would be that home, but now we’re traveling a different road, and we hope you’ll join us on that journey.
Our new home has lots of potential, but we need your help to see that potential realized. We need volunteer and financial help with demolition, cleanup, and renovations. And that is the main goal of this campaign. We estimate we will need about $25,000 to turn the space into a welcoming, working studio.
The other $25,000 in our fundraising goal is to pay off the building. We were able to cover $5,000 down as an organization without jeopardizing our day-to-day operations through the transition, and we had some generous investors loan us the remaining $20,000 we needed to purchase the property outright. We have a very reasonable repayment agreement worked out with those investors that will make the building truly ours in five years. But with your help, we can pay off that loan much sooner, freeing up more capital for expansion and growth.
So please join me in making a difference for The Macoupin Art Collective, an organization near and dear to so many folks in and around Macoupin County. Any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution!
