The Movement BE App

My name is Nate Howard and I am the founder of Movement BE . Movement BE is dedicated to amplifying the voices of the millennial generation. For the past few years, we've worked with schools and different youth organizations to inspire a generation to tell their story before someone else do. The results have been that young people are more confident in who they are, and inspired to BE the change they wish to see in the world.   We believe in creative storytelling. We understand that when an individual realizes the power of their story, he/she becomes the narrator of their life; now able to navigate through a world that has often told the story for them.

Our work has made such an impact that I was recently recognized as one of the top 28 gamechangers in the nation under 28 years old on NBCBLK . I was then featured as one of 3 individuals to be showcased on The Today Show  for my work with Movement BE.  It's an honor to be nationally recognized and I'm so excited to share with you all next steps for Movement BE.

I've been traveling school to school to hosting programs and workshops helping youth find their story. As Movement BE began to grow, I found myself not able to be at every school site, and found it harder to reach and connect with my students. 
So I've decided to take the classroom community and put it into an app! Yes, an exciting time- Movement BE will be developing a mobile application! This will allow us to create safe space to share our stories and scale out to the numerous youth who are in need of our community. 
 The money will be used for full development of the mobile application. The developer will begin working on application March 21st and we should have a final product by May 2nd. We will launch the application May 31st at Lyrical Exchange ft. Rudy Fransciso at Queen Bee's.

Since the beginning, I've been working off pure love for the work that I do. As we've grown, numerous people have come to volunteer and I have been so grateful for that support. In order for us to have the impact on our youth that we know we can have, we need the support financially. This app is just the first step in pushing a movement that will have a huge impact for future generations.

 Young people are hungry for a community to share the stories they've been so afraid. Movement BE has been committed to the work of helping these individuals be brave in the pursuit of discovering their true story.  It will mean the world to us to have your support. We are very thankful!
