Movember For Dylan
Donation protected
Dylan Lester is a 4 year old boyand a little miracle boy. He was diagnosed with profound cerebral palsy shortly after his birth.
Due to his condition Dylan needs assistance with all aspects of independent living. He is non verbal and is unable to walk. He cannot feed orally and he is fed via peg tube inserted into his stomach. He struggles every day with muscle spasms and muscle seizures. He has uncontrolled movements in his limbs and requires various different medications to manage his spasms.
Dylan requires regular physiotherapy, speech & language therapy, occupational therapy and hydrotherapy. This has to be funded privately by us as the early intervention services simply don't provide enough help, help that could truly make a difference to Dylan's quality of life.
He also requires specialised nursing care and this care has proved to be priceless in the last few years. It allows our family to do the normal things like bringing his older brothers to football training or giving them quality time to help with homework!!
Dylan is an inspiration to his Mam, Dad, Brothers, Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and friends. His strengths and abilities continue to surprise us. One of his smiles would melt your heart.
We are in the process of beginning the daunting task of extending and adapting our house to make it suitable for a wheelchair user.
Due to Dylan's very high medical and occupational needs we have to start fundraising projects. We are asking for your help, however big or small, to make a difference in Dylan's life and to assist in whatever way we can to make his life the best it can be.
Thank you for listening to our story,
