Hello family, friends, friends of friends!
We are 8 Doctor of Physical Therapy students from MGH Institute of Health Professions traveling abroad this January to help serve with and learn from our friends in Villa Nueva, Guatemala. We will be traveling with a group called Move Together, a non-profit, tax-exempt organization that has a passion for improving lives through movement and believes that everyone deserves access to high-quality rehabilitation medicine. The organization was founded by Efosa Guobadia, PT, DPT and Josh D'Angelo, PT, DPT, OCS in January 2016. The principles of sustainability, responsibility, and collaboration are foundational to the efforts of Move Together as well as promoting bidirectional experiences in which participants have the chance to fulfill others and to be fulfilled themselves. We are generating this GoFundMe page to raise funds to cover a variety of costs to help this young clinic function more efficiently and deliver high quality care to its patients. Alternatively, we have also generated an Amazon Wishlist with supplies that the clinic has voiced they need right now (link below). All funds and Amazon items will be hand delivered when we travel south in January. We appreciate your support in helping us help others!
