I am a mother doing everything I can to protect my family and rebuild our lives with dignity, safety, and hope. Over the past few years, my life has changed in ways I never imagined. I am a stroke survivor, living with ongoing health challenges that affect my mobility, strength, and daily functioning. Simple tasks that once felt routine now require careful planning, medical follow-ups, and support. Despite these challenges, I continue to push forward, because my daughter depends on me.

In addition to my health struggles, we have been living under constant emotional stress and fear due to domestic violence. This ongoing insecurity has taken a heavy toll on our well-being. Safety has become our highest priority. My daughter has Down syndrome, and for her, a safe, calm, and stable environment is essential. She deserves to live without fear, anxiety, or uncertainty. It is not fair for her to grow up surrounded by insecurity and emotional distress. Stability, routine, and a sense of protection are critical for her development, emotional health, and overall quality of life.

After much thought, prayer, and medical advice, I made the difficult decision to relocate to Florida, where we have family support and the possibility of a safer, more stable environment. This move would allow both of us to heal—physically and emotionally—and give my daughter the peace and security she truly needs. This move is not optional for us — it is necessary for our safety, health, and long-term well-being. One of the challenges I face is related to transportation and my Domestic Violence situation. Because of my medical condition following the stroke, driving and transportation have become complicated and expensive. Relocating means dealing with medical transfers, licensing issues, transportation costs, moving expenses, and setting up care in a new state — all while managing a fixed income due to disability.

A portion of the funds raised will help cover the cost of Amtrak Auto Train tickets, allowing us to bring our vehicle to Florida. Although our car is an older 2002 Nissan Tracker. Having our vehicle is essential for our safety and daily mobility—enabling us to attend medical appointments and therapies, obtain basic necessities, and maintain some independence given my physical limitations following my stroke and my daughter’s needs.

Asking for help is not easy. I have always tried to stand on my own. But sometimes, strength also means knowing when to reach out. Your support — whether through a donation, a share, or a kind word — helps us move toward safety, stability, and healing. It gives my daughter the chance to live without fear, and it gives me the ability to continue caring for her while focusing on recovery. Hola hoy pido ayuda en uno de los momentos más difíciles de mi vida. Nunca imaginé que tendría que pedir ayuda de esta manera.

Soy sobreviviente de un derrame cerebral y vivo con limitaciones de salud permanentes. Aun así, mi mayor responsabilidad y fortaleza es ser mamá de una niña maravillosa con síndrome de Down y depende de mí para su protección, estabilidad y bienestar emocional.

Durante demasiado tiempo hemos vivido rodeadas de miedo e inseguridad debido a la violencia doméstica. Cada día me preocupa nuestra seguridad, especialmente la de ella.

Este entorno es profundamente dañino, especialmente para una niña con necesidades especiales. Vivir con ansiedad, inseguridad y estrés continuo no es justo para ella. Mi hija merece calma, seguridad y estabilidad.

Mi hija necesita paz, estabilidad y un ambiente seguro para crecer y desarrollarse. No es justo que viva con miedo. No es justo que su vida esté marcada por la ansiedad y la inseguridad. Como madre, no puedo ignorar eso.

Estoy tratando de mudarnos a Florida, para nosotras, mudarnos a Florida no es una opción, es una necesidad, donde podamos estar cerca de la familia, sentirnos protegidas y empezar a sanar física y emocionalmente.

Esta mudanza significa seguridad, apoyo familiar y la posibilidad de continuar mi recuperación médica mientras le ofrezco a mi hija un ambiente estable donde pueda crecer sin miedo.

Debido a las secuelas del derrame cerebral, tengo limitaciones de movilidad y vivo con un ingreso fijo por discapacidad. No puedo lograr esta transición sola. Los gastos de mudanza superan mis posibilidades actuales.

Una parte de los fondos recaudados ayudará a cubrir el costo de los billetes del tren de Amtrak que transporta vehículos, lo que nos permitirá llevar nuestro coche a Florida. Si bien nuestro coche es un Nissan Tracker antiguo del año 2002, tenerlo es esencial para nuestra seguridad y movilidad diaria, ya que nos permite asistir a citas médicas y terapias, conseguir lo necesario para el día a día y mantener cierta independencia, dadas mis limitaciones físicas tras mi stroke y las necesidades de mi hija.
