Hi, my name is Rebecca as most of you know I am a foster mom . I am looking for help with a deposit on a bigger rental home that has come across my path. I have a 4 bedroom right now but as I have been doing this I really would like to have 5 so I can have a “boy” and “girl” room. I signed up to take sibling groups but did not realize how many children are out there in the system. I have gotten calls at 1 am and 3 am asking if I had room, or even just the couch for the night. My last call was at 5 am for a sibling group if 4. At that time I could only take 2 so they got split up. I have been trying to figure out how to help as much as I can even if it’s until placement can find them a long term home all together. This house came across my email with 5 bedrooms and a nice big yard only 15 mins from where I am now and it looked perfect for my family and what we do. I’m asking for this help so I can secure the home fast and give them the deposit. As they are looking for a renter to move in November 20. I have reached out to the community, dcf, churches, and have had no luck thus far so my last resort is this. This is my first step to many more that I have planned.
