This is Peggy. She and her twin brother Emmit blessed our home seven years ago when they were born and immediately placed into the foster system. We have cared for the two of them since they left the hospital, and when they were four years old we were finally able to adopt them into our family. God has filled our home with laughter and smiles from the both of them, and they will grow up knowing what it means to belong to a family and a God who loves them.
This is no easy road to walk, however. When Peggy was six months old, we began to find ourselves repeatedly in and out of the hospital with a whole slew of developmental problems for her.
She was diagnosed with Lennox Gastaut Syndrome (a form of epilepsy), Cerebral Palsy, Microcephaly, among others. Because of this, She is quadriplegic and will always be in a special wheelchair.
As she grows, so does the equipment she needs, and our regular van is no longer large enough to fit her inside properly.
The money we raise will go toward the purchase of a wheelchair accessible van so we can properly secure her and safely transport her to her medical appointments. Companies that produce these vans sell them anywhere from $30k-70k.
Though it is out of the reach of our budget, I am confident in God’s working hand and the compassion of each of you.
Please help us keep Peggy mobile.
With much love and gratitude,
The Bray Family
