Hello everyone, God bless you for clicking on this GoFundMe and taking the time to read my father's story which has impacted his life and our families lives in so many ways. In May of 2018, my father Stuart, age 56, had a tremendous headache which caused him to have severe dizzy spells, throwing up constantly, shaking throughout his body, and no balance coordination. After days of him laying in bed all day, not going into work and not eating, I (20 year old daughter Karlie) took him into the emergency room where we shared the symptoms he was experiencing with the doctor. He was then sent home with a strong pain killer and other medications after the we were told it was probably just a viral infection/flu. The next morning at 5 am, Stuart woke after not feeling any better drove himself back to the emergency room. He was admitted immediately into emergency surgery after the CAT scan showed two severe aneurysms in his brain, one of which had ruptured and had been bleeding out. My father had 50/50 chance through surgery. Miraculously, he made it but the after math of the bleeding on the brain for days has caused short term memory problems day to day, and therefore, he is not able to drive or work ever again. Since he can no longer work and unable to continue to provide health insurance for my family and I, my mother who is a server has been trying to combat the financial difficulties but recently had a ganglion cyst removed that was pushing on a tendion in her right foot. My siblings and I have stepped up to help my parents and family as much as we can to pay the house mortgage, hospital bills, etc that have exceeded far more than is imaginable. I have questioned setting up gofundme because we have never been the type to ask anything of others, but I have faith that in humanity and all of whoever views this will shower me and my family with any kind of help you can. It would truly be a blessing and would help calm the stressing. I will continue to update everyone on the condition of my father and mother for whomever is curious. This journey has been one that no one should have to go on, but is one that makes you cherish the good times way more than ever. My family is blessed to have the family and friends support that we do. With that being said, please consider donating to move mountains for my family and help us to gain hope once again. God bless everyone and thank you for all your support.
