Please help our family raise money for my mother who has been undergoing cancer treatment.

For five years she has been coping with lung and recently gastrointestinal cancer and effects of associated treatments. While she has bested it for the majority of this time, the latest round of treatments have left her and our family financially drained and emotionally exhausted, but not beaten! We need help to cover medical expenses and some moving costs while trying to relocate to a living situation which is more amenable to safely moving her in and out of the house for treatment.
Currently, the apartment is on the second floor of a house which requires my father to call for an EMT or hired help each time my mother needs to go to a doctor. Because of her condition, she’s no longer able to go up or down stairs without assistance from more than one person. She has unfortunately had a few falls on the stairs which have sent her to ER and has led us to the path of having to hire people to help bring her down safely (a cost of nearly $500 each time). This has become compounded with costs of ferrying her to an out of state doctor to remain within network, and the impending costs of hiring a visiting nurse if the search for a new place is unsuccessful.
In this time of fear and helplessness we're all going through, and with the current climate of the economy we know it’s a lot to ask for financial help from anyone. We are hoping we can rely on any small kindness and generosity from our friends and family, as well as those outside of our circles. Even facing this she has been helping out by doing her best to maintain her job as a property manager. But due to her treatment and the side effects she has had to go on continuous leave which runs out this month, something which will be evaluated as time goes on.
Our goal with this is to make sure that she and my father can stay afloat and provide the best and safest atmosphere for her recovery that we can and to cover existing medical expenses while we find a place closer to treatment with easier access to the outside so that we can get her there. We're trying to reach our goal as soon as possible because they don't just help with our plans, but the day to day costs the family faces.
How Your Donations Can Help:
$15k - Helps purchase a specialized chair which greatly eases the process of entering and exiting the current living situation without aid of professionals.
$30k - Helps pay for a few months of in home nursing visits to eliminate routine trips to the hospital.
100k - Helps put a deposit on a more amenable location, where she could have the freedom to enter and exit the house at her will.
