On Sunday, 25 September, (62nd birthday-how in the hell?) after having cooked a many course meal for a party of seven, I fell ill. I was sacked. For the last 9 days I have been confined to bed except for when absolutely necessary. The doctor says it's a particularly bad case of gripe (flu.). This is some m))(==??=)g flu, I tell you. I've barely eaten and can barely move. The biggest effect has been overwhelming exhaustion. Thank goodness I can feel that subsiding a tiny bit every day, which means recovery is happening.

The flu, however, is not why I'm writing. During this same week, my mouth BLEW UP (this is the only term that does the pain justice). My whole lower front and my upper right exploded in pain and infection. Happy birthday, my gosh.

I had an emergency appointment with the dentist and he says the only route is removal of teeth. I'm devasated and quite frankly ashamed as it indicates some lack of care on my part. To sum it all up, the proposed plan has a price tag of $5500 and this is money I do not have. As you know, I work for myself and the money I receive is directly tied to the hours I work. You can imagine, this situation has me full of anxiety and quite frankly, depressed.

If you have any desire and ability to help me with this unfortunate turn of events, I would be forever grateful. Again, I am embarrassed to ask, but I do not see another solution.

And, of course, NO PRESSURE.
