Mountain trike, all-terrain wheelchair for Harry

In 2015, you all changed our lives by helping us to fundraise for Harry's safespace, I do not have enough words to express our gratitude for the help we recieved, it completely changed our lives and I do not know what I would do if we didn't have it.

We call for your help once more. Harry is about to turn 13 years old. There are few things he enjoys; cuddles, flappy things and being outside in nature. lf you know us, we have never let his wheelchair restrict our adventures in the past but, with age and size he is now in a standard wheelchair and this is restricting our adventures. We can only use it on paved/flat surfaces so our usual locations are not accessible.

Although Harry can walk, he can only go short distances and struggles more when walking in new places. He feels safe and secure in his chair. What helives most of all when we go on adventures is to have a nice view and some sensory stimulation such as sounds of the breeze, waves, birds and feeling plants, sand, mud and water.

With a very active sister who is also on the autism spectrum, it makes it difficult for Harry (and his wheelchair pushing companion) to keep up with her and he also cannot follow her when she goes off tracks when out in nature.

We tried this all-terrain wheelchair, the Mountain trike push and not only did this easily combat any uneven terrain but for the companion pushing it, you could barely feel Harry's weight. Although Harry is nonverbal, it seemed like he could barely notice when we went over uneven terrain. He would have normally got anxious in his chairs in the past as soon as the terrain became bumping. This chair fits adults and would always be suitable for Harry, which makes it a worth while investment as it will last him all of his life.
