Mountain rollover caused by careless driver

Hello,
My name is Alexandra Iosub, and I am a self-employed artist, woodworker, and occasional educator, living in beautiful Sandpoint, North Idaho.
In the morning of January 18, 2019, a negligent driver failed to stop at a side road intersection and skidded into the road in front of me. I had just enough time to evade a collision, while navigating a downhill slope, a slight curve in the road, and 2 inches of solid ice under my studded winter tires. I thought I was going to be okay, then my car suddenly swung violently, started spinning, hit the burm of snow on the edge of the road and started rolling down a steep gully with a creek at the bottom. I hit a tree, spun round, rolled over again, and hit a copse of younger trees that managed to stop the descent. I was hanging in my seat belt upside down, with the windshield collapsed against my head. One inch further would have broken me irretrievably.
I called 911 for the first time in my life. The other driver called a neighbor. When I finally emerged from the crumpled mess and crawled back up to the road, I realized I was okay but half my life was gone. When I said I called the police, the other driver and the neighbor took off.
It's been weeks. I found the other driver's car and took a picture for the sheriff. I haven't heard anything back. I spoke with a lawyer, and it seems chances are the other driver will get away with it because he ran away.
My car was one year old to me. I purchased it to access my house at the top of a steep driveway. I need an AWD or 4WD vehicle for that. It cost $6000 a year ago. I also need to pay the towing company and the GoFundMe fees. I've been borrowing a vehicle to function, and sleeping on friends' couches to walk to work. I can't abuse my friends' generosity any further. I need a reliable, new-to-me vehicle as soon as possible.
