Mountain River is Gone: Support Jared and Suzanne

I am Torrie Jarrett and my dear friends Jared and Suzanne have been devastated by Helene and the complete loss of Mountain River Campground. They need us!!

Jared and Suzanne Garland dedicated their entire lives to create a life at Mountain River. It was more than a campground, it was their home and their livelihood. Through Helene the flood wiped away every trace of their entire lives. Not only them but also Mike and Kim Gunter who lived here.

Currently they are awaiting water levels to drop so they can get further into the property to begin the extensive process to rebuild a dream that a few days ago was reality and a true oasis for so many of us! This is something that will take too much money to even try to raise but the goal right now for this fund is to provide shelter, fuel, and provisions to get them through the next few months. We have the opportunity to show them how much we appreciate the years they have sacrificed to give back to everyone who knows them, and the community around.

Our heart breaks along with them, they are our dear friends, and have been the safe haven for 1000s of people who have come to camp at this beautiful place year after year.

Help us show them they are not alone even though they have nothing let of their tangible lives, they have relationships, love, and whatever you have to give will be appreciated more than you can imagine!!
