We want to take our students on a field trip. For the majority of our students it will be the first one they have had the opportunity to participate in so far in their school career.

Our school is in the Denver, Colorado area and serves students who have had serious struggles in the general education setting with behavior and emotion regulation. Our students are some of the most misunderstood and ignored demographics in schools and society at large.

Our school meets the students where they are to support their emotional and academic growth. We are often the first educational encounter that has truly believed in these students and their potential.

The majority of our students come from lower socioeconomic backgrounds and as a result do not have the opportunity to engage in activities and other outings within their community. Additionally, in part due to traumatic childhood experiences, many of our students disability and behavior has impacted their ability to ever take part in or have been given the opportunity to go on a field trip.

Our district is currently experiencing severe financial struggles which contributes to our inability to provide our students with these types of experiences. Through your donation, the students will be able to go on a tubing trip in the mountains of Colorado. Despite living 30 minutes from the mountains, most of our students have never been there and/or have ever engaged in any type of winter activities. A ticket for each student is $24. Any additional money raised will be used to provide the students with winter gear so that they can safely participate.

Our ultimate goal is to provide our students with a day where they can leave their struggles behind and just be kids and have fun. Any and every donation is sincerely appreciated.
