Hi my name is Máire Thompson and our family are raising money for the NI Hospice. The Mountain Man walk is in memory of Kieran Monaghan ( a husband / father / brother / son /nephew / brother in law/ friend) . The walk will be undertaken on his 52nd birthday . ( 2 months after his passing). The walkers will meet at Divis Mountain Car Park

Kieran had three hospice stays for 5 weeks ( Marie Curie hospice ) 1 week and 6 weeks at NI Hospice. The staff were unbelievable and they made a very difficult time bearable. Kieran had a difficult cancer journey and it is not until you are in a position of vulnerability that you truly realise the value of the hospice services . We will always be indebted to them and as a family we promised Kieran we would fundraise for this charity to help provide for other families that may find themselves in this position .
