Holfuy Wind Station at Mount 7 (Golden)

Pilots - if you find this weather station useful please contribute! We are seeking donations to fund installation and operating costs through 2025. Data from this modern, low maintenance weather station is free to all pilots and always will be.
A recommended donation of $50 will help us reach our target, but please contribute whatever amount you can. Contributions can be made here or in person via Mark Damm (Calgary) or Brian Duchovnay (Golden).
Installation: $1100
Operating costs: 6 yrs @ ~$180/yr: $1100
Total: $2200 (2020-06-08 update: target achieved !)
If we exceed our fundraising target, contributions will go toward the following stretch goals:
Stretch Goal 1 - $2900 - Extra sensors for weather nerds (pressure, humidity, cloudbase, rain, solar radiation).
Stretch Goal 2 - $5100 - A second Holfuy wind station for the LZ.
If these stations improve your flying experience please consider contributing to other stations in the network: Fernie , Elko and Wasa . You can contribute to the Invermere (Mt Swansea) station by purchasing a CVHGPS membership. Learn more about the Columbia Valley Wind Station Project .
