MOTSRTP Fundraiser
The COVID-19 pandemic has devastated India’s healthcare system, leaving millions of people without medical care. This is the world’s worst outbreak, leading to shortages in supplies, medical personnel, and health education. Low-middle income groups and vulnerable groups remain disproportionately affected, unable to access consultations and hospital beds.
The Child Foundation is a Canadian organization deploying aid in India with a goal to provide care for 1,000 COVID-19 patients. The funds raised will be used to supply oxygen concentrators, vital sign monitors, medications, at-home care kits and IV equipment, as well as hire nurses on the ground. To learn more about the organization, please visit https://childfoundation.ca/
As a group of healthcare trainees in the Multi-Organ Transplant Student Research Training Program (MOTSRTP) at UHN, we have been devastated to hear about the evolving crisis in India. As a group, we are taking on a $2,000 goal to contribute to this Canadian organization that provides a holistic support strategy, including telehealth interactions with patients in India.
Please consider contributing to our fundraiser - all funds go directly to the Child Foundation. This is an urgent need that requires all of our efforts. Any support, including raising awareness and spreading this page to others who can donate to this cause, is helpful and welcomed.
Thank you,
MOTSRTP
