Hi, I'm Gem. I’ve recently gone through a string of events that have left me broken, overwhelmed, and desperately in need of support.

I just moved to a new town, completely on my own, where I don’t know anyone and I’m still learning my way around. It’s been hard enough trying to start fresh—but things have gone from difficult to devastating.

After saving for over a year, I finally bought a motorcycle—a huge milestone for me. It was my way to get to work, my freedom, my independence. But within a week of having it, I was hit by a car. The accident shook me to my core, both physically and emotionally. bruises, broken foot, mental health on the decline.

While trying to recover and stay mobile, I had to rent a bike. But then, someone tried to steal the rental, and now I’ve been slapped with a £500 charge—even though it wasn’t my fault. The bike was damaged in the attempt, and the rental company’s holding me responsible.

I’ve had no choice but to buy another bike out of my own pocket just to keep working—but now I'm drowning. I’m completely alone in a new place, and everything feels like it’s crumbling. I’m struggling to afford basic bills, shopping, and essentials, let alone recover from everything that’s happened.
