Hello,

My name is Ivon, my mother here in this post is Belen. She recently suffered from a suspected stroke. We are not sure what the true diagnosis is due to inability to do an MRI of her brain because of a previous heart surgery that required a pacemaker. The pacemaker needs to be revised and approved for a MRI before even starting. So many analysis are being done to see if maybe a previously replaced valve is faulty and if she’ll need heart surgery again.She has left sided numbness and swelling in her brain. Unfortunately, due to the suspected stroke & swelling she has lost a majority of her memory.We had to reintroduce her to all her grandkids even though prior to this she spent nearly every day with them. My mom is already disabled therefor she does not work. Also her family is not from out here so she has very little support. She does not have any family in the United States other than her three girls which are me and my two sisters. (With the youngest still-underage). The day of the incident she was perfectly fine in the morning, so we invited her to go to Los Angeles with us for an early Valentine’s day dinner only to never make it there. She had her stroke on Saturday at 5:45pm, and now due to her left sided numbness she will need intensive physical therapy. I hate to ask for people to donate but anything will help cover her cost for her medical expenses. I want to thank anyone in advance, for just taking the time out their day to read this. -Ivon
