Hurricane Melissa has left countless families in Jamaica devastated — especially single mothers who are now struggling to survive and care for their children. Many have lost their homes, their belongings, and access to food, clean water, and basic necessities like diapers, clothing, and toiletries.

My name is Sadena, and as the child of a single mother who survived the last major hurricane, this cause is deeply personal to me. I understand the strength, fear, and determination it takes to rebuild from nothing. That’s why I’m doing everything I can to help — even from here in Canada, where I now live.

My goal is to collect and ship essential supplies to Jamaica by the end of this month, reaching as many displaced single mothers and children as possible. I have trusted, reliable people on the ground in Jamaica who will ensure that all funds and donations are properly used and reach those who truly need them most.

Every dollar raised will go directly toward purchasing and shipping:

Food and clean drinking water

Diapers, wipes, and baby supplies

Clothing and shoes

Toiletries and hygiene products

Blankets and other basic necessities
