Wyatt Shaw turns at a Miracle

God Bless all of you who take the time to read this!
We met when I was 14 years old, he was the cute boy that lived across the street. Then later became the father of my kids. Now, he is my family. On Mother’s Day we went out to dinner to celebrate with our family. Wyatt had not been feeling good all week, but made sure too be there for his Mom’s special day. We got our food and half way through our meal, right there at the dinner table, Wyatt, turned white and buckled over in pain.
Now, he had already been to the hospital a couple days prior, they said he was constipated and sent him home with a prescript-ion for stool softener.
We didn’t know what was wrong we just knew it had to be bad because he is usually so strong.
So, after some convincing, I took him to a different hospital. Within an hour of being at the Emergency room he was diagnosed with Endocarditis and MRSA infection in his bloodstream, he was septic. The infection on one of his heart valves, had showered his lungs with MRSA, creating pockets of Infection called septic embolism's. It was so bad they had to cut into his right lung and scrape the infection out and start draining the fluid. This caused his right lung to collapse. He could no longer breathe on his own and was placed on a ventilaterwith 100% assistance. And had to have a Tracheostomy in his neck. Which then required that he be kept in a medically induced coma. He was maxed out on meds, and we were told there is nothing else we can do for now. We just have to wait they said. Out of five different specialists not one of them could tell us if he was going to live, not one. Wyatt spent a month in the ICU hooked up to every tube imaginable keeping him alive. Then good news came.... Finally, we can confidently say he is going to live, thanks to the medical team and their tireless efforts.
Now that the dust has settled, we realize how long of a road to recovery there will be for Wyatt. No longer living in survival mode, we realize there is no other way than to ask for help. I struggled for the longest time to even write this because our family doesn’t ask for help, we always manage on our own.
The truth is we need help to cover Wyatt’s monthly bills, medical bills and living expenses so that he has a quality of life to return too. Any amount, even small would be appreciated by our family. Words could never express the gratitude. If a donation is not an option, please share his story and pray for him. We need all the power of prayer we can get and his full recovery is bound by prayer and hope alone.
His Mother is killing herself to make ends meet while also caring for his Stepdad that was in a bad motorcycle accident earlier this year. God love her but she just cannot do this on her own.

Wyatt has never known a stranger. If you
have met him once, you leave as friends
and you can call upon him for anything.
Since we were young, he has always stood out with his heart of gold. I have seen him touch so many lives with a helping hand in the last 20 years, I can’t even count them all. The helpful kind of person that knows what is needed and he will not make you ask for it, the best part about him, is he expects nothing in return. That is what makes this a full circle moment, what happens when the helpful man needs help?
This thought is what stopped me in my tracks and made me realize I had to go public with this story.

Wyatt is an electrician a literal genius at his trade. Let’s say you need some electrical work done and you have no money to fix it? He will be there everyday after work until it is done. He knows what it is like to struggle, and he will give whatever he can give with no questions asked.
In all honesty, he is kind of a dork by
nature, and carries so much knowledge
with him. Always looking up stuff and
researching what he doesn’t understand.
In no time he will have learned the subject like the back of his hand. Truly, he is just a Discovery channel kind of guy and that’s part of what we love about him. Wyatt is a Mama’s boy, his grandma’s best friend and our daughter’s hero. He is a fighter and I know his optimistic personality will pull him through this. He has always lived a life of hardship and struggle but now he will face this hard road to recovery. I pray for him to have comfort during his healing, the comfort he deserves to just be able to get better.

With a humble heart I ask for help in
Wyatt’s recovery? It is going to be a very long road ahead for him.
If anyone deserves a second chance it is Wyatt!
I believe this with all of my heart.
Our family appreciates anything from a
donation to a quick share of his story.
I believe in miracles; I see them every day and have experienced them myself they
are so incredibly powerful. Today, I am
hopeful that this is Wyatt Jason’s turn at a miracle.
