Mothers Coming Together
Donation protected
Mothers Coming Together is a group of women, men, and gender-diverse individuals who have lost sons, daughters, loved ones, and friends to police violence and the prison system. The Ontario chapter includes representatives from the Regis 4Ever Foundation, Justice for Anthony Aust Collective, Justice for Jamal, Justice for Tyrell Raymone Beals, Ottawa Transformative Justice Collective, and Incarcerated Voters Ont. We have been working together for the last year to get the word out about these tragic stories of police violence & deaths in custody, calling for justice and healing, and to make systemic changes to the criminal legal system and build transformative justice and community care. We are calling for support so the mothers and their supporters can travel to Victoria, BC (May) for a roundtable discussion at the Transforming Justice Conference and a panel in Nova Scotia (July) being organized by Leslie Sparks (JusticeForTyrellBeals). These events support the families by bringing the community together to show solidarity, with a free meal, and trauma-informed care. This tour isn't easy. Every stop means standing in front of strangers and reliving the worst moments of our lives. It means turning private pain into public truth. But we do it because people need to hear what these systems are doing - and who they're destroying. We're coming together to travel across Canada, to bring these stories to light, to connect with communities, and demand justice. We need your support. Your donations help cover travel, lodging, venues, and the care needed to make this journey possible. More than that, it says: We see you. We stand with you. This is about truth, courage, and change. Be part of it. Donate anything you can! Thank you.
