My story starts near the beginning of this year, when my son left to move in with his girlfriend. Don't get me wrong, it was time he moved, but the way he did it is another story. Suffice to say, he left me in a heck of a bind. He was responsible for paying the electric bill and half the monthly rent. It totaled over $5000. He never told me he hadn't paid the electric bill in a while. I didn't know until back in April that he hadn't paid anything on it. I've been working on catching up, which was impossible when my social security got cut off. Two months, approximately, of no income was no party. In between all this, my kidneys started failing, bad enough to be referred to hospice. I was told I had anywhere from a week to a year to live. My kidney function numbers have improved a bit, but hospice is still on the table at some point.

My power company needs $700 before they disconnect me on July 26. The past few months I have tapped every resource to help pay the $4000 bill. There is nothing more I can do, or ask for.
