Urgent Appeal: Help homeless mother and her Family to-return to life from Devastated War in Gaza
Dear Friends,
I reach out to you with a heartfelt plea from Germany, where I, Nadja Awadallah from Germany, seeking your immediate help for my relatives refugees from Gaza, who endured unimaginable suffering as a result of the devastating war.
Following the story from Sahar
Hi ..
Please, close your eyes and imagine with me...
You are now living in an unsafe place, constantly startled by the sounds of bombings. Your hearts break at the sight of destruction, massacres, and the killing of innocent children, women, and civilians for no reason.
You are now living in a small tent with your family and children, which does not protect you from the cold of winter or the heat of summer, not to mention the insects, reptiles, rodents, and diseases that spread in the area...
Imagine your children bathing in extremely salty water without soap or cleaning products, and you can't provide them with healthy food or a suitable place to sleep...
Imagine spending your days with your children searching for water, food, and means of livelihood, and when you need to rest at night, you cannot sleep due to fear and the sounds of planes, bombings, and screams...
You are now unable to sleep at night, fearing that something might happen to your children or that you might lose them. Their current lives filled with fear, pain, and oppression hurt you, instead of laughing, playing, learning, and living a happy, healthy life. You worry about their future, which has been shattered by this war.
How do you feel after this experience?
This is what I live every day since the beginning of the war on Gaza...
I am Sahar Abu Al-Auf, 42 years old, from Rafah city in southern Gaza. I am a wife and mother of seven children. I hold a university degree in Educational Technology, but I haven't had the opportunity to work due to the lack of job opportunities and the overcrowding of graduates in Gaza. I suffer from diabetes, which I can no longer control due to the harsh living conditions we face, the lack of proper treatment, and the absence of a healthy lifestyle, in addition to constant fear and anxiety.
My husband, Husam, 47 years old, is a civil engineer. He is a hardworking and active man who holds a master's degree and aspired to complete a PhD, but he couldn't continue his higher studies due to this war...
In this war, he lost his job and source of income, as well as his sister and her entire family, along with many relatives and friends. Years ago, he was a victim of a medical error during surgery, from which he still suffers today and has undergone several reconstructive surgeries. However, he needs to travel outside Gaza for further surgeries after the collapse of the health system in Gaza due to the war...
I have seven children:
Feras, my eldest son, 20 years old, was a first-year student at the university majoring in Multimedia Technology and Web Development. In this war, he lost his studies and his university, and his future is now uncertain. We are striving to find an opportunity for him to complete his studies in another country.
Rand, my eldest daughter, 18 years old, is a high school student, diligent, and excels in her studies. We were expecting to see her name among the top students in Gaza, as she has always done. She aspired to study medicine, but now she has lost her education due to this war.
Mohammed, 12 years old, is a sixth-grade student.
Leen, 11 years old, is a fifth-grade student.
Mouhanned, 8 years old, is a second-grade student.
Seraj, 6 years old, was supposed to start first grade.
Mesk, 4 years old, is my youngest, spoiled child, the joy of the family.
In light of this war and the destruction of the entire educational system, the future of my children is uncertain.
My family and I have endured several wars in Gaza, during which we lost our home in 2014, rebuilt it, and now, in this war, we lost our home again, as well as another house that was under construction, where we dreamed of living a safe, stable life. However, all of this was swept away by this war, which left neither people nor stones nor trees. Our car was also severely damaged, and our suffering began with displacement and homelessness, moving from place to place, and from one tent to another.
Imagine the lives of my seven children without a proper shelter, living in a tent in an uninhabitable environment, with a scarcity of clean water, healthy food, security, and peace. They live through bombings, fear, hunger, and displacement, moving from place to place in search of safety and fleeing from death...
Aren't they, like other children around the world, deserving of safety, play, and a happy life?
I am desperately trying to provide them with a dignified and safe life, but I need your help to bring them to safety. I am confident in your generosity and kindness to stand by me and donate to my family so that I can rescue them from the horrors of war and provide them with a dignified life in a safe place.
Stay safe.
