Hi everyone,
My name is Jianna Andrews, and together with my incredible Mother Amanda Andrews, we're chasing a dream we've built side-by-side for years: competing at the USA Powerlifting (USAPL) Nationals in Chicago!
We've qualified through hard work, consistent training, and qualifying totals at State and National meets. This is the pinnacle of powerlifting – where the strongest, most disciplined athletes in the country come together to squat, bench, and deadlift their absolute best. For us, it's not just about the lifts... it's about proving what's possible when a mom and daughter commit to strength, discipline, and each other.
Our journey started when I was 10 years old and I personally watched my Mother compete and get stronger and I knew this was something I wanted to do. What began as family bonding over barbells has grown into something much bigger: a shared passion for powerlifting that has taught us resilience, goal-setting, and the power of believing in ourselves.
My name is Jianna Andrews and I am 14 years old competing in the 60kg weightclass in the Teen 1 Division. And my mother, Amanda Andrews is 42 years young and will be competing in the Masters 1 Division, I'm proud to still be grinding alongside her – showing that age is just a number a
nd strength has no expiration date.
Now, we're heading to Chicago for USAPL Nationals June 2026 – the national championships where raw powerlifting dreams are made. We've earned our spot on the platform, but getting there is the next hurdle.
As you can imagine, the costs for a National level meet are very expensive for just one athlete let alone two athletes. Every dollar helps us get there stronger. Your support means the world – whether it's $5, $20, or just sharing this with friends who love lifting or inspiring stories. We will continue to provide updates on our Instagram and Facebook pages to share the story with everyone willing to donate.
This isn't just about records, medals, or totals. It's about a mom and daughter showing up for each other, chasing excellence, and inspiring others (especially young women and families) to pursue their strength – inside and out.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for believing in us. Let's make this Chicago trip unforgettable!
With gratitude and heavy squats,
Jianna & Amanda Andrews
