MotherChild Education Fund(ACEV) EarthquakeRelief

I'm running the Brooklyn Half Marathon on Saturday May 20th, to raise money for the Mother Child Education Fund (ACEV) in Turkey to help their earthquake relief efforts in the affected areas. ACEV is planning to set up portable centers to continuously educate and help kids, parents and young adults in the container cities that were built. Their efforts include building portable libraries for kids, psychosocial help for parents, and activities that include art & play for younger kids. In addition to these efforts they will also be compiling need boxes for younger kids that include a toy set, stationery items, hygiene set and educational materials. The money I raise through this will be going towards some of these efforts in hopes to continue re-building the community in this area.
