Mother and daughter survive head-on collision!

On August 11, 2022, 911 received several reports of a F-150 driving recklessly and running lights. Shortly after, my wife Shaminna and 4-month-old daughter were the victims of the F-150’s reckless driving and were hit head-on at about 60 mph. My wife and daughter were rushed to the hospital to be treated for their injuries. My daughter was released from the hospital a few days later; however, my wife sustained an acetabulum fracture which required immediate surgery on her hip and pelvis. Shaminna is currently in ICU after developing a blood clot in her right leg after surgery and has started blood thinners. The blood clot is yet another setback that will extend her time in the hospital, prolong her discharge to rehab, and return to her family.
Shaminna works as a nurse and enjoys providing care to her patients. Shaminna has a heart of gold and is always there for others showing support or lending a hand. Shaminna is looking forward to healing properly and returning to her family and career as soon as possible. We have medical insurance; however, it will not cover all expenses. Shaminna will need to go to a rehabilitation center for some time after being released from the hospital. We are asking for help covering medical, hospital and rehabilitation costs, household bills, lawyer fees and other unexpected expenses. The police have not released her car due to the pending investigation to get the insurance process started, which could take an unknown amount of time.
At this time, we are both out of work. I am also a nurse but have had to apply for emergency Family Medical Leave due to the accident, creating financial strain. I am splitting my time between the hospital and caring for my infant and teenage daughter. We are devastated by this tragic accident and look forward to rebuilding our lives. As you can see from the photos of her car, we are grateful for her to be alive. We would greatly appreciate anything at this time, including prayers. Thank you.
