I’ll start by saying THANK YOU for taking the time to read about our story. 
I’m a single mom of 3 year old nonverbal autistic twin boys. We are in need of help in a major way. 
The twin’s father (my soon-to-be ex-husband) has tried to kill me twice and is presently being held in jail on no bond. 
He controlled all the money, and now that he’s in jail the boys and I have nothing to live on.  They were scheduled to start attending a school for special needs children; however, I now have no way to pay for it. 
The boys are with me 24/7, which means I am unable to work much. I had plans to work on getting ahead and becoming self-sufficient once they were in school, but now that almost seems impossible. We have zero family and nowhere to turn. 
My boys are suffering and they’ve  been through enough.  Unfortunately they witnessed both times that their dad tried to kill me (once a near-drowning, and the most recent time, he tried to throw me out of a moving car on the interstate).  That is why he’s now in jail. 
This all seems like a horrible dream but it is our reality. Never in my life have I been the type to ask for help; however, at this point we truly need it. My boys deserve to get back on track and have a stable SAFE home life.  
Unfortunately until I am divorced I am uneligible for any kind of Social Security, disability, welfare, or any other public assistance.  Believe me, I have tried! I have sold furniture out of my house as well as clothing, just as a way to keep going, but I am out of options. If I could just put the boys in school so that I could work, I can see my way clear to being on my feet.
