Mother of all court fees

Hello, my name is Heather. I'm fundraising for my friend Melissa!

Melissa and I have been friends for nearly 30 years. We've seen many happy days as well as the unfortunate darkness.

Melissa is the friend who always has an encouraging word and special way to brighten your day. She is selfless in all aspects of her life... as a friend, mother and nurse. She has literally given the shirt off her back when needed.

The past couple of years have tried their best to pull her under. She has been in and out of court, in attempts to secure a safe and loving home for her two brilliant teens. With all of the ugly coming to light, the court ordered mandatory "cash only" weekly therapy, as well as all of the other lawyer and court fees.

Melissa has spent the last couple of years desperately trying to maintain these strict court orders, as well as keeping a roof over their head and food in their bellies. She has sold her belongings, worked as many overtime hours as she possibly can and also donates plasma twice a week.

Unfortunately, she just keeps coming up short. I'm hoping that together, we can help pull all of them out of this darkness, so they can put this behind them and begin to heal and breathe a little easier. The majority of this fundraiser is targeted toward her remaining court fees ($8700). The remainder would be to assist her in getting caught up on rent and bills that she has fallen behind on.
