Hello, my name is Iryna. My daughter Ida was born in September 2024 with a diagnosis of Edwards Syndrome (Trisomy 18). She has 4 holes (VSD, PDA and 2 other small holes) in her heart and 2 more defects (one related to the valve, the second to the septum). She’s in the hospital for 4 months and is waiting for heart surgery, which will happen in 2-4 months (the exact details are still unknown because she’s not stable yet). after that she will also be in the hospital and I don’t know for how long. It’s very difficult for me to find a job because I have to pump every 2 hours so not to lose milk, I have to go to my daughter to hospital in another city (50 km) every day and spend some time with her there. I don’t have any income, only child benefits, about $600 a month. I’m from Newfoundland but now I’m in Cambridge but baby in Hamilton. Now someone are giving me a free housing, but I have to move out in April 2025, for which I have absolutely no money, although I hope to find some kind of work before that time. I also have an older daughter. I really need financial help, for gas and food. I don’t have a family in Canada. I will be very grateful from all my heart for any help, even the smallest.
