Hello, my name is Laura from Washington, D.C., and I created this page for Sondos, a mother of two young girls in Gaza who desperately needs medical care.

Sondos was born with minor deformities in one of her kidneys and poor functioning in the other. She underwent surgery at Al-Makassed Hospital in Ramallah. A year later, it was discovered that her body was excreting excess salts and forming hard stones. She now suffers from kidney stones and extreme kidney pain. The condition is damaging her eyesight, and if left untreated, will require her to get regular dialysis.

The terrifying and unsanitary conditions in Gaza are making her situation much, much worse. Sondos struggles to provide enough food for her children—often skipping meals so that they can eat—and she has become extremely malnourished. Now that food prices climb higher and higher and medicine becomes even more difficult to obtain, Sondos desperately needs help.

Sondos needs to raise money to treat this debilitating condition.
