Mother lost her home in Almeda Fire
Donation protected
Maria lived in Talent Mobile Estates for over 20 years and raised six kids on her own in her mobile home. Once her kids were older, she selflessly opened up her home to a family member who needed 24 hour care and dedicated many years to being his sole caregiver.
On September 8th, all of her possessions and irreplaceable memories were burnt to ashes in the Almeda Fire. She only had time to grab her documents and a second change of clothes as her son rushed into Talent to pick her up when she saw smoke quickly approaching her home.
The loss of her home is devastating, but Maria also grieves the loss of the community of loving neighbors she was surrounded by all those years. She prays for safe housing and wellbeing for not only her neighbors, but for everyone who has been affected by this fire.
She is now staying with one of her daughters and will need help starting over again. Any donations are greatly appreciated.
