Hi, I’m Grace, a mother of five kids; 4, 8, 9, 11 and 12 years old living in Asheville, North Carolina. This past week Hurricane Helene hit and our home isn’t livable. We moved out what we could carry. We need urgent help.

Our existence currently depends on our friends and family/community. I am worn out from living on high alert and witnessing the overlapping devastation all around us. I don’t know where to go from here.

Seeing humanity shine through adversity and being checked on has been my lifeline. All five kids were born here, in these mountains, all of it are pieces of us. We are heartbroken. Its the only home they’ve known. The kids need a place that’s theirs, space to rest and a routine. I need it.

I can’t do this on my own. Immediately we need food and gas/lodging help for the six of us. Additional donations will be used for security deposit and rent ($3000/month) + utilities when we find somewhere to house us. We have to replace furniture and bedding. Your support right now means the world to us.
