Mother and Infant Son’s Struggles with Health Concerns

I’m trying to put the words down to convey a story that truthfully does not feel real anymore. I should also start by saying, I’m sorry Tiffany… she would likely tell me not to do this but I want to do something to help.

The long story short for Tiffany begins with being diagnosed with cancer while pregnant, going through chemo and surgery, having her first healthy rainbow baby, multiple hospital stays for the little babe, and finally the news that she will be continuing her road with chemotherapy for multiple years. Please read on for more of the story and share it with everyone so we can help this family!

If you haven’t heard of this literal angel’s story already, I will link the article that was done by People Magazine back in May of 2024.

After being diagnosed with breast cancer, Tiffany went on to start her chemotherapy while still pregnant with Oliver and handled it with the most grace and dignity I have ever seen.

And on June 25th, 2024, we were graced with Oliver’s debut. Oliver Thomas was sent from his sister and brother in heaven as the best gift in a trying time.

Early in August, Oliver had his first hospital stay as he was admitted to the PICU at Children’s Hospital with a critical illness. After almost a month, they made it home.

Then mid-September, they were back at Children’s as Oliver was now facing another medical complication. After the addition of medications and a slow wean, Oliver was able to make it home again.

The rest of the year was filled with follow-up specialist appointments and several trips back to the hospital for little Oliver. It’s 2025, and Oliver is back in Children’s with another illness.

Tiffany has finished her weekly chemo and had a surgery too. She recently found out that she now must go through more treatment for the cancer for several more years.

Tiffany had planned to try and return to work this coming month but unfortunately, although she attempted to get everything in place, there is a road bump that will prevent that from happening. The financial stress is huge. The initial outpouring of love and support was unbelievable but in today’s world, the costs don’t ever stop. I want nothing more than to take all this struggle away from her. And because there’s no magic wand for that, I’m doing the one thing I know can help and I’m reaching out to her village and more to help her through this time. If we can at least take the worry of finances off a family of three with one income, going in and out of the hospital and getting expensive treatments, then I want to do everything in my power to make that happen. Whatever you can do to help is so incredibly appreciated. Regardless of where you may be, please share her story so we may lift this family up.
