Mote’s Medical fundraiser
Donation protected
My amazing dog, Mote, had to have emergency surgery on Monday, June 5 for Pneumothorax (air in his chest cavity). I am trying my best to cover the medical cost because he means the world to me and I will do anything to make him better. He was home from surgery by Tuesday, June 6 (the photo is moments after bringing him home). Unfortunately, there was a reoccurrence of as to Friday, June 9 and he is back at the emergency pet hospital. On that next Saturday morning, he needed to have an additional surgery to remove the air from around his lungs so he can breath normally. He stayed at the vet hospital for nearly a week before he was allowed to come home.

If you have met Mote, you know he is the most lovable, talkative, beautiful, and sweetest dog. I am making this GoFundMe with the hope to lessen the burden of the medical cost. My goal is set near the cost of the medical expenses so far, I don’t expect to raise enough to fully cover the cost. If, by some miracle, this raises more than the cost of the medical fund, every penny over will be donated to help other pet medical bills. So far to date, the total medical bills for Mote is about $30,000. Every little bit helps.

I appreciate anything you can give and please keep Mote in your thoughts. Send him prayers, well wishes, good vibes whichever best suits your beliefs. We are all routing for him to make a full recovery without any additional reoccurrences.

UPDATE September 1, 2023:
Until this past week, Mote was doing well but then the coughing started back again. I ended up taking him back to emergency vet in the early morning and got the news the pneumothorax which was present but stable has started to worsen. I am now looking into solutions to figure out next steps none of which are cheap. He is in good spirits still and his vital signs are staying in good ranges but still has a horrible cough that I can see causes him pain and brings his mood down.
Thank you to all that have already donated.
Thank you
