Help Us Build a Mosque in Purfleet-on-Thames

Purfleet-on-Thames is home to a growing and vibrant Muslim community. As of the 2021 Census, the town had a population of approximately 6,871 residents. Within the broader Thurrock unitary authority, there are 8,584 Muslims, highlighting the significant presence of our community in the area.

Despite this growth, there is currently no mosque in Purfleet-on-Thames. The nearest mosques are several miles away, making it challenging for many to attend regular prayers and participate in community activities.

To address this need, we have initiated a fundraiser to help establish a mosque that will serve as a spiritual and community hub for Muslims in Purfleet-on-Thames. The estimated cost for this project is £625,000.
