I’m Moses Battiest and I am non-binary.  (pronouns: they/them/their). I am having top surgery this year, and need help financially. This procedure will not only alleviate the distress I endure with gender dysphoria, but help me live my best life. This is something I’ve yearned for since my dysphoria became an extreme roadblock in my life for the last several years. To live authentically and free of debilitating stress, I must proceed with this. I am asking for donations to support my financial need for this affirming surgery. Recently, I have been laid off, and my health insurance will come to an end in April. I was part of a Medical Financial Assistance program that will too end with my insurance. My surgery date was May 21st this year. The next date is TBD. I will be independent of family financial support, and need help covering the medical expenses. I planned to cover most of the surgery on my own, but due to the worldwide pandemic it’s impossible for me to do so. As of right now, my goal is to reach $2,500.
