A couple of months ago, my brother started experiencing discomfort in his lower abdomen.

Within a short period of time, this abdominal discomfort increased to the point where Moses was struggling to eat because it was so painful.

He was finally admitted to the hospital because his hemoglobin and sodium levels were dangerously low.  At this point, he had lost over 30 pounds since I had last seen him, a month and a half prior.

The doctors diagnosed him with ulcerative colitis, a disease that causes severe inflammation of your digestive tract.  This can be a debilitating disease that can lead to life-threatening complications.  Unfortunately, they do not know what causes this disease and there is no known cure.  But they can provide treatments that will hopefully put it into remission.

Moses's condition is fairly severe and he will soon be put on an IV feeding tube in order to get enough nutrients directly into his body.  He has been in the hospital for almost two weeks and will need to remain there until he is stable.

Along with prayers and thoughts of healing, I am starting to collect funds to help with any medical bills and on-going living expenses.  

This is a first time I have ever known my brother to ask for financial help.  He has worked since he was fourteen years old but unfortunately, his condition is so severe he is unable to work at this time.
