Mosaic Youth Hub - Sleaford Youth Club's New Home

Sleaford Youth Club is moving into a new home, and we need your help to make a difference! After nearly 10 years in our current location at the Children's Centre in Money’s Yard, we've reached the point where our provision has outgrown that space, and we are operating at maximum capacity most weeks. This, alongside the accelerating mental health crisis in young people, aggravated by the Covid-19 pandemic, means that a move to a larger and more suitable home for Sleaford Youth Club has become essential.

In June/July, we're moving into 2 units at the Riverside Centre in Sleaford, which means we need to raise money to fund new equipment to furnish our new Youth Hub - which is currently completely bare.

This move will enable us to expand our current service, currently limited to Friday evenings, into a more significant provision, with plans to offer more weekday sessions and school holiday activities for young people. This move is necessary and essential in continuing to provide this provision to the young people of Sleaford and the surrounding area.

What is Sleaford Youth Club?

Sleaford Youth Club engages young people in school years 7-13, in Sleaford and the surrounding areas, in fun activities and positive opportunities. Within an environment of safety, love and trust, we seek to enable young people to develop healthy relationships through positive supportive structures, to flourish in themselves and their communities and to be a force for good in society. Young people who attend Friday night sessions access vital support and advice, have the opportunity to meet and make new friends and take part in projects, workshops and activities such as arts & craft, games, cooking, console gaming and more.

What do we need to raise the money for?

We've already started our fundraising journey, with a few thousand already raised, but we need much more. We need to kit out the whole Hub with furnishings and equipment to make it a safe, enjoyable, productive, suitable and a fun environment for young people to come to and get the best out of. Some of the items we need to purchase include:
  • TV's
  • Modular sofas & soft furnishings
  • Fridges, cookers & kitchen appliances
  • Tables & chairs for homework & workshops
  • Bean bags & cushions
  • Musical equipment
  • Projectors and screens
  • Computers, tablets & printers
  • Coffee tables, cupboards
  • New games consoles
  • and more!

Do you want to join us in making a difference? Thank you in advance for your contribution to this project, it means so much to both us as a youth club team and the young people of Sleaford and the surrounding area!
