Mo's Cancer Recovery and Medical Fund

Continued support for Mo’s cancer journey…

Many of you know that Maureen/Mo was diagnosed with endometrial cancer last August. It has been a long haul, but Mo made it through chemo, lost her hair, grew some back, and has started 5 weeks of radiation treatment. All these treatments have zapped Mo of her energy while throwing some nasty side effects her way. This is all taking a physical and mental toll on Mo. While she might look great on the outside most days, there is still a lot of recovery happening on the inside.

Besides the cancer, Mo found out that her job was cut to 50% this past fall school year. She was planning to work another job as a secondary source of income, but it was evident that between surgery, going into treatment, and teaching part-time, her body would not allow it. Most of her funds have been depleted. Those who know Mo, know she is a very independent woman who struggles to ask for help. She was hesitant to allow her friends to support her in this way because she says “there are other people who are worse off than me”, but she needs our help. So, we are starting a GoFundMe for her.
