MO’s battle
Donation protected
I’m finally ready to share my story with you all. Back in August I was admitted to the hospital for some complications. I ended up needing 3 units of blood because I was so depleted. I went through blood transfusions and had an emergency surgery. Once I was recovering from surgery, I will never forget the words my doctor said to me “you have cancer.” I was shocked, scared, and flooded with so many emotions. I was diagnosed with a rare, aggressive, stage 4 cancer called sarcoma. I have started my first round of chemotherapy and will be finished by December.
I have been on numerous medications, have had numerous doctors appointments, and will continue to until I get a pet scan to see how the chemo is working.
With so much uncertainty there is a high possibility I will need to go to UCSF for some trials.
All the money donated will go to all my medical expenses, including the travel, and medications. This has been a battle and I know i have a long road ahead of me. I will continue to fight this.
Thank you all who have reached out during this time, it hasn’t been easy to respond to everyone but know that I read all your messages.
