Carla Rea here from the 96.3 KKLZ Morning Show in Las Vegas. Morty is my Producer, and he’s also a dear friend.

In April 2022, Morty was diagnosed with colon cancer, along with cancer on his liver. He also has a colostomy bag due to complications He has been going through chemotherapy, taking chemo pills, but nothing is helping. He was sent to UCLA for a specialized procedure, to administer chemo directly to his liver. He was originally told the treatment for the procedure could be done in Las Vegas. When he went to his Oncologist here in Las Vegas, he was told last minute, and abruptly, that they cannot do it locally after all. It is imperative that he get this treatment, as UCLA says it CAN work. However, he now has to go to UCLA every 2 weeks for treatment. This means airfare, lodging, and whatever out of pocket, every 2 weeks. As we all know, insurance, co-pays, deductibles, are crazy - and now airfare, lodging, etc.

If you've lived in Las Vegas for any length of time, you know Morty. From MIX 94.1 for many years, as Mark and Mercedes producer, and of course The Mike and Carla Morning Show, on 96.3, KKLZ.

Morty wouldn’t ask for help himself, so I am doing it for him. If you have it in your heart to help out a really great guy, it would go a long way. Any small amount will go a long way. This treatment is going to be the best chance for him
