Morse Runs for Refugees 2021

MORSE ALWAYS WINS—especially when it comes to showing support for New Haven's refugee resettlement agencies. Just around the corner from Yale is one of these incredible organizations, IRIS.

IRIS serves refugees from Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Congo, among others, who have been granted legal status in the US and recently been relocated to Greater New Haven. The organization has been helping refugee populations since 1982. The IRIS Run for Refugees is one of their big annual fundraisers and one of the biggest 5k runs in Connecticut. In 2017, IRIS helped resettle 343 refugees in New Haven. Over the last two years, Morse college students and Fellows have raised over $4500 through the IRIS run.

This year the race will be virtual and take place from March 1st to March 15th.  If you would like to show support, you can register to run (https://runsignup.com/Race/CT/NewHaven/IRISRunforRefugees) or contribute to our fundraiser until the last day of the race, March 15th.  To find out more about the race please visit https://irisct.org/run-for-refugees-2/.
