The Morrisons, Pat (76) and John (63), family home (hand-built, full of memories, and lived in for over 32 years) was lost in a devastating fire. Thankfully, no one was hurt. But the house, and nearly everything inside it, is gone.

In 1993, the Morrisons moved into an 85' mobile home. Over the years, through tireless work, they expanded it piece by piece, adding rooms, updating spaces, and transforming it into a welcoming home that became the heart of their family.

The additions weren’t just cosmetic. They more than doubled the size of the original structure—adding bedrooms, living spaces, and gathering areas where holidays were celebrated, grandkids played, and life unfolded.

But when the fire took it all, the insurance company saw things differently.

Because much of the home’s original plumbing was tied to the mobile home portion, their insurer is only covering the smallest part of the damage—the outdated mobile section from 1985. The rest (despite being the true living space where the Morrisons spent nearly every day) was not properly valued, and now they’re being offered pennies on the dollar.
