The Morris Park Boxing Gym has provided professional boxing and physical fitness training to the Bronx community of New York for decades. Owner and former welterweight champion of the world, Aarron "Superman" Davis, has continued to create a safe and engaging environment for at-risk youth by providing free after school programs for kids who cannot afford monthly memberships.
Due to Covid-19, Morris Park Boxing Gym has had to remain closed these past 5 months, and with financial aid running out, Aarron is struggling to try to keep the gym from going under. This Black owned business has been an integral part of the Bronx community for generations and together we must do everything we can to preserve institutions like these.
Please help keep Morris Park Boxing Gym afloat until Aarron can open it’s doors to the community again by donating any amount.
I have had the privilege of getting to know Aarron and directed a documentary on some of the boxers who train at his gym called Basement Boys, which premiered earlier this year.
