Hi Everyone

We are making this go fund me page for our brother Morris Bingas, Sadly he was involved in a tragic motorbike accident which happened in October 31st 2021. Unfortunately due to the accident morris has injured a catastrophic brain injury, in conjunction , he has also sustained substantial injuries including inter cranial haemorrhage, multiple facial , femoral shaft and Pubic ramius fractures. Morris was transferred from Royal Northshore Hospital to Royal

Rehab Brain Injury Unit on the 7th December 2021 where he developed hydrocephalus and swelling of the craniectomy site , complicating his function. Morris underwent cranioplasty and shunt insertion to manage the swelling . However, Morris continues to endure profound lifelong cognitive impairments and physical impairments medically considered permanent and sad to say that’s it debilitating.

It's now 9 months since the tragedy and Morris is still in the Brain Injury rehabilitation Centre (Royal Rehab) but with very little progress. Recently, we have been advised by the centre that Morris is to be released and transferred to an accute care facility by September this year 2022. This has been tremendously stressful for us family as we have no idea of what to expect with morris being in an acute care , we as a unit are scared as there’s a lot of unknown on what is going to happen after he gets out of Royal Rehab . There are so many things to think about as a family to be able to provide the best possible care for Morris and Give him the best shot at hopefully gaining his normal life back or even to just have somewhat of independence on his life .

We are hoping to raise money to accommodate his debilitating prognosis. Morris’ ongoing Treaments are going to be costly these includes but are not limited to , sessions with the occupational therapies/ physiotherapies speech therapists and cognitive-behavioral therapist , On-going Specialists appointments and sadly much more in the foreseeable future .
